During the Church weekend we thought about “Looking to Jesus”. During this series we will continue to keep our eyes fixed on Him, as we listen to Jesus speak to the adulterous woman (John 8:1-11), the rich man (Matthew 19:16-30), the religious leaders (Matthew 21:23-45) and His disciples (Matthew 23:1-14). We will consider what we learn about Jesus, what we learn about ourselves and, what we each need to speak to Jesus about.
Speaking with Jesus
John 8:1-11 - The Adulterous Woman - Ian Naismith (Video)
Morning Service, Sunday, September 18, 2022
In this passage we find a woman caught in adultery, exposed to her community, awaiting her sentence. The response of Jesus forces those who would condemn her to examine their own hearts, and reminds us of the saving grace we find in Him.
Matthew 19:16-30 - Speaking with Jesus - The Rich Man - Adrian Armstrong (Video)
Morning Service, Sunday, September 25, 2022
The rich young man comes to Jesus with an important question, receives a challenging answer and misses out on an opportunity for what could have been a transformative encounter. We are challenged by this encounter depend completely on the Lord Jesus for our salvation and to follow Him whole-heartedly.
Speaking with Jesus - The Religious Leaders - David Knowles (Video)
Morning Service, Sunday, October 2, 2022
The religious leaders conversation with Jesus showed how they failed to understand who he was and as a result failed to accept Him as lord. We must not make the same mistake and miss out on the blessings of the Kingdom.
