Going Against the Flow

One of the great challenges for the Christian is to live distinctively as a follower of the Lord Jesus in today’s world. It seems as if we are constantly swimming against the flow of a strong current of attitudes and behaviours that contradict God’s law. The temptation to simply go with the flow and blend into the comfortable culture of our day is great. This series uses the experience of two young men who lived thousands of years apart but who found themselves in “alien countries” where God was not worshipped. Joseph in Egypt and Daniel in Babylon lived for God against the flow, we will consider some of their experiences and learn some helpful lessons that will help us go against the flow of the 21st Century.
